How can I observe communion at home?

The Lord's Supper, or Communion, is always to be observed within the context of the local church, as the New Testament makes so clear - see for example Acts 2v42. Indeed 1 Corinthians 11v17-34 expressly speaks against an abuse of the Lord's Supper. It is possible to remember the Lord Jesus Christ on Thanksgiving Day without the need for communion. However, in the case of those who are housebound through illness or age, it is only right for the Pastor/Elders of their church to take communion to them, for their edification.
